Borden Dairy has been reborn! With a vision to become a leader in the dairy industry, the company announced a revival of its beloved spokescow, Elsie. First introduced in 1936, Elsie is a well-known brand mascot and, according to a press release, was named one of the top 10 advertising icons of the 20th century.
DALLAS – Borden, founded more than a century and a half ago, has reemerged with new ownership, leadership, a focus on its people and an optimistic vision to reclaim its position as the undisputed leader in the dairy industry. At the center of this dramatic revival is the beloved Elsie, Borden’s iconic spokescow, who has been given a more modern look.
Borden is overhauling the 150-year-old brand’s iconic cow logo to make itself relevant in a world full of dairy rivals and newer competitors, like soy and almond milk producers. Borden is partnering with BrandCory on its logo refresh and with Ohio-based Curiosity for its marketing strategy.
Last month, we discovered we were huge fans of banana milk. It’s creamier than other non-dairy milks, has a very pleasant (but not overwhelming) sweetness, and even tastes pretty good in coffee.
